D-DAY! Glad that's over

Wow, what a day.....

Took Bleydh in for his 2 operations today, one to sew up the tummy hernia which had just gone past the 'half-round' shape and the other to remove his huge double dew claws.
Dropped him off at 9am, worried sick all day so couldn't do any work, got a call at 1.00 to say all was well and collected him at 4pm. He's a real sweetie, so pleased to see me and all floppy, sleepy and snuggly, got loadsa kisses and he was allowed to ride home on the front seat (a rare treat), he's feeling a little sorry for himself this evening with constant little groans and whimpering but he's getting lots of attention (including a lot of the unwanted type from Lucy & Nipper - who missed him like mad incidentally).

He was absolutely starving when it got to tea time, ate his own dinner, then another 'cos I felt sorry for him (vet said 'light' dinner???) then he also ate the JR's, moaning all the way through 'cos he couldn't eat it fast enough.

He's got some little plastic wellies to go over the socks if he needs to go out but the weather's so horrible I'll just let him use the pee-pad this evening, the vet says the 'socks' have got to stay on for 5 days, that'll be a challenge (lol)
